Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

Injecting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be used into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and replaced.
Insignias and enchantments will show their names in the item's hover display, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the item's tooltip.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel allows you to add and view these unique characters, as well as regular symbols like em and en dashes as well being trademark symbols that are registered.
Each Glyph gives a character boost in their primary stats. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats which will alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase which is multiplied by other bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.

The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and will also boost other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It is important to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your game, which is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of different views. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in different fonts. You can narrow down the list of glyphs further by choosing an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
